Ethical Aspects of Research
BioscHealth adheres to strict ethical principles for the publication of scientific research, in accordance with internationally recognized ethical standards for research involving human participants and animals.

Research Involving Human Participants
Research involving human participants must comply with the ethical principles set forth in the current version of the World Medical Association (WMA) Declaration of Helsinki.

The Methodology section of the manuscript must include:

  • the full name of the ethics committee or ethics review body responsible for approving the study;
  • the approval opinion, protocol, or registration number;
  • a statement that the study was conducted in accordance with the principles of the Declaration of Helsinki, where applicable;
  • a statement indicating that Informed Consent was obtained from the participants, where applicable.

If the requirement for informed consent has been waived, this must be explicitly stated in the manuscript, together with the corresponding justification and approval by the Research Ethics Committee.

Research Involving Animals
Research involving animals must receive prior approval from an Animal Ethics Committee or an equivalent institutional body, in accordance with the applicable legislation of the country where the study was conducted.

The Methodology section must include:

  • the full name of the ethics committee or ethics review body responsible for approving the study;
  • the approval reference, protocol, or registration number;
  • a statement confirming that the study was conducted in accordance with the applicable ethical and legal standards for the care and use of animals in research.

Authors are encouraged to report experimental studies involving animals in accordance with the ARRIVE Guidelines 2.0 (Animal Research: Reporting of In Vivo Experiments) to promote transparency, reproducibility, and scientific rigor.

Supporting Documentation

  • BioscHealth may request, at any stage of the editorial process, copies of ethical approval documents, informed consent forms, or any other documentation related to the ethical conduct of the research.
  • The submission of ethical approval documentation does not preclude the Editorial Team from evaluating whether the methodological procedures described in the manuscript comply with the ethical and scientific principles adopted by the journal.
  • Failure to comply with the journal's ethical requirements may result in the return of the manuscript to the authors, rejection of the submission, suspension of the editorial process, retraction of a published article, or the implementation of any other editorial measures deemed appropriate.

  • Recommendations for the Conduct, Reporting, Editing, and Publication of Scholarly Work in Medical Journals (International Committee of Medical Journal Editors – ICMJE): international recommendations for ethics in research, author responsibility, participant protection, scientific integrity, and good editorial practices.
